形而上自然主義

形而上自然主義(英語：Metaphysical naturalism)，哲學學派之一，認為除了被自然科學研究的與我們所理解的物質世界相關的物、力、因以外凡是理論上不可能用自然科學去理解的東西都不存在。形而上自然主義認為所有與意識、心靈相關的概念都是指那些可被還原為、或依附於自然物、力、因的實體。而且，它否認任何超自然的物、力、因，比如諸種宗教中出現的事物、以及所有形式的目的論。它認為所有「超自然」的物均能由純粹自然的原因來解釋。它不只是對現有科學的反映，亦能展望科學在未來能夠發現什麼。對於現實，形而上自然主義持一元論而不是二元論的態度。
