美國陶瓷學會（英語：American Ceramic Society）是一個美國的陶瓷學會。[2]有11000名會員，來自75個國家和地區，會員身份包括工程師、科學家、研究員、製造商、工廠技術員、教育家、學生、市場和銷售人員。

歷史
編輯1898年2月6日在哥倫布 (俄亥俄州)舉行的第一次年會上成立，[3] [4]之後會員數量、出版物和影響力均大幅增長。1918年，該學會開始出版《美國陶瓷學會雜誌》，該雜誌至今仍是陶瓷領域最受尊敬的期刊之一。[5][6]
第二次世界大戰期間，學會的科學家通過支持開發用於軍事的先進陶瓷材料，包括雷達技術、裝甲板以及飛機和火箭的耐熱部件，為戰爭做出了重大貢獻。[7][8]
第二次世界大戰後，受材料科學技術進步的推動，陶瓷行業經歷了快速增長。學會因此擴大了研究範圍，包括新設立的電子陶瓷、先進結構陶瓷和生物材料等。[9]
在此期間，學會推出了其他出版物，例如《國際應用陶瓷技術雜誌》和《國際應用玻璃科學雜誌》，以滿足其成員的不同興趣。[10]
