語言學中,重新挪用重新利用重新意義化[1]是一個群體重新使用先前以他人貶損該群體(即自己)的方式使用的詞語或物件的文化過程。它是語義變化(即詞義的改變)的具體形式。語言回收在話語領域有更廣泛的含義,並且被描述為個人或社會政治賦權[2]

法國畫家克勞德·莫奈的《印象·日出》在1872年被嘲諷為「印象派」,但該術語隨後成為藝術運動「印象派」的名稱,畫家也開始將自己視為「印象派」
