System to get images on articles by checking if Wikipedia and/or Wikidata have an image and providing lists of pages that can be improved. This system is already succesfully in use on the Danish Wikipedia and Dutch Wikipedia. So far images have been added to 1000-1100 pages on zh.wikipedia.

• Category:本地有相關圖片而維基數據未添加的條目 - 7.964 pages (<-- add images to Wikidata)

Total pages covered by the system: 131.081 (16,94% of all pages).

How you can help

• Go to Category:維基數據有相關圖片而本地未添加的條目 and add images from Wikidata to the articles on Wikipedia.

The system will update itself once you have added an image to an article, though this might take halve a day.

Note; Some pages cannot be improved and will clutter the category, ignore these

Problems you can run into

After images have been added to all articles some articles will be left without images. This is due to some images on Wikidata not being usefull to Wikipedia, or because there is a second template on the page without an image, or because the images are on the page, but not in the template. About 15% of the pages in Category:維基數據有相關圖片而本地未添加的條目 cannot be improved. This amount will increase as improved pages are taken off the list. Eventually all pages on the list cannot be improved. It will then only function as a way to monitor any changes.

How it works

This is done by Template:Wikidata image, which when added to a template can see whether or not the pages that use that template have an image in the template. The pages are then put in a category to differentiate them. To add the template Wikidata image, add the following to a template (example [1]) and change the "image"to whatever that templates uses, like "image" or "Image" or "images":
