以利沙·格雷

以利沙·格雷（英语：Elisha Gray，1835年8月2日—1901年1月21日）是美国电气工程师、发明家、教师和企业家。1835年8月2日，格雷在俄亥俄州巴恩斯维尔（英语：Barnesville, Ohio）出生。1876年，格雷因为在伊利诺伊州高地公园发明电话原形而闻名，同时他被视为是现代音乐合成器之父，在其名下还拥有70多项发明专利。格雷还是西方电气制造公司的共同创办人兼首席执行官，并在公司成立后不久，自行收购该公司的多数股权。1901年1月21日，格雷在马萨诸塞州密德瑟斯郡牛顿维尔逝世。

格雷与安东尼奥·穆齐、亚历山大·格拉汉姆·贝尔等人，经常被视为是首批电话发明（英语：Invention of the telephone）的研究者。最近一些作者认为，格雷应该被视为是真正的电话发明者，并指称是亚历山大·格拉汉姆·贝尔窃取格雷的想法[1]。虽然格雷已经持续进行电话实验长达两年的时间，但是在许多法院判决中，仍然维持贝尔拥有电话的专利。
