凯特费许·杭特

詹姆斯·奥古斯特斯·杭特（英语：James Augustus Hunter，1946年4月8日—1999年9月9日），绰号“鲶鱼”，为美国职棒大联盟的投手。生涯15个赛季效力过运动家与洋基。

1979年，杭特因为手伤而宣布退休。1987年，他入选棒球名人堂。不过他在51岁时罹患渐冻人症，后来他与病魔缠斗了一年多后不幸去世，享年53岁。

1963年11月，杭特在一次与兄弟们去打猎的途中不慎被猎枪射伤脚，[1]最后这使得他失去了一根脚趾头。最后大部分的球探都离开争夺杭特的行列，只有运动家队选择他。[2]

堪萨斯市/奥克兰运动家 编辑

1965年，19岁的杭特登上大联盟。当时运动家老板Finley为了能让球迷记住他，于是给了他“鲶鱼”(catfish)这个外号。[3][1][4]杭特完全没有在小联盟打球就直接升上大联盟。1965年7月27日，杭特拿下大联盟首胜。1966年和1967年，杭特都入选了明星赛。

1968年球季开打前，运动家队搬迁至奥克兰。而杭特在5月8日投出大联盟史上第9场完全比赛，[4]这也是球队继1947年的Bill McCahan后，队史第一位投出无安打的球员。[1]

1974年，杭特投出了史诗级的赛季，该年他拿下25胜12败，防御率2.49。最后他不仅拿下胜投王，球队也达成三连霸。杭特在运动家曾达成连续4个球季至少单季20胜，而且世界大赛拿下4胜0败。

自由球员 编辑

1974年2月11日，杭特原本与运动家要签下2年20万美元的合约。[5]不过Finley不仅没按照合约为Hunter的年金保险加保5万美金，而且还延期支付薪水。1974年12月16日，Finley与杭特告上法庭，法庭判决杭特成为自由球员。[3][6][7]

纽约洋基 编辑

赢得仲裁的两周后，杭特以5年335万美元的合约加盟纽约洋基。[3][8][9][10][11]当时大联盟共24支球队，除了巨人以外全部的球队都在抢着签下杭特。[12]尽管当时教士与皇家的签约金都比洋基高，不过最后他们两队都没抢到人。[13]

加入洋基的首个赛季，杭特马上就吞下3败。不过后来他还是入选了明星赛，加入洋基的第一年，杭特就已23胜连庄胜投王。有了杭特的加入，洋基也在1976年至1978年进军世界大赛。1976年，还不到31岁的杭特已经拿下200胜。这项纪录甚至比赛·扬和克里斯提·马修森两位历史名投还快。[14]另外杭特的生涯打击率也有2成26。其中1971年，他的打击率更是高达3成50，并敲出36支安打。不过随着美国联盟在1973年引进指定打击的制度后，杭特的打数就急遽减少。

1978年球季初，手伤开始困扰著杭特。而他又在春训时发现罹患糖尿病。[15][16]1979年，他只拿下2胜9败，防御率5.31。加上他5年的合约刚好走完，于是33岁的杭特宣布退休。[3][17]他生涯在洋基一共拿下63胜，而且15年生涯一共参与6次世界大赛，并拿下5座冠军。[3][18]

在洋基队的这段时期，杭特也居住在新泽西州的Norwood。[19]

退休后，杭特就待在Hertford经营农场。[20][21][22]1997年至1998年间，杭特在冬天打猎时发现手臂开始使不上力。后来他被诊断出罹患肌萎缩性脊髓侧索硬化症，也就是俗称的渐冻人症。[3]

1999年，杭特在家中辞世，享年53岁。[3][1][18]他在去世前一个月还曾经在家中跌倒，并昏迷了好几天。[23]最后他被葬在当地的雪松木公墓。[24]

1987年，杭特与Billy Williams及Ray Dandridge两位球员一同入选名人堂。[2]杭特对于他非常喜欢Finley及乔治·史坦布瑞纳两位球队老板，因此他不打算以运动家或洋基球员入选名人堂。[3]

1990年，杭特入选湾区运动名人堂。2004年，运动家开始颁发凯特费许·杭特奖，用来颁发给最能激励士气的运动家球员。[25]1991年6月9日，杭特的27号背号被运动家永久退休。[26][27]
