利比亚航空（阿拉伯语：الخطوط الجوية الليبية‎，旧称利比亚阿拉伯航空）是利比亚的国家航空公司。利比亚航空以的黎波里为运营基地，提供前往欧洲、北非和中东地区的定期航班。利比亚航空亦是阿拉伯航空运输组织和国际航空运输协会的成员。

利比亚航空在1964年成立时命名为利比亚王国航空，1965年10月开始提供服务，最初主要提供从的黎波里及班加西往邻国及欧洲的航班，以及本国国内航班。至1968年，其航点包括雅典、贝鲁特、开罗、日内瓦、伦敦、巴黎、罗马和突尼斯市，使用快帆和福克F27飞机执行。以外利比亚航空与意大利航空、中东航空和英国海外航空有班号共用协议[1]。

1969年穆阿迈尔·格达费掌权后，利比亚王国航空更名为利比亚阿拉伯航空。在1970年代，使用波音707营运长途航班及波音727营运短途航班，为航空公司的骨干机种。1979年，由于该航空公司被怀疑将波音727用于军事用途，原计划交付利比亚阿拉伯航空的三架波音747订单被取消。[2][3]至1986年，欧洲航点包括阿姆斯特丹、贝尔格莱德、布加勒斯特、布达佩斯、法兰克福、伊斯坦布尔、马德里、米兰、莫斯科、布拉格、索菲亚、维也纳、华沙和苏黎世[4][5][6][7]。

受联合国安理会748号决议影响，认为利比亚政府有支援恐怖份子策动洛克比空难及法国联合航空772号班机（法语：Union des Transports Aériens），对利比亚实施贸易制裁，包括飞机供应和取消其在外国的飞航及起降权。这使利比亚航空无法执行任何国际航班，只能经营国内航线。由于无法取得西方国家的飞机零件供应，因此只好向苏联购入伊留申76和图-154飞机。

1999年初贸易制裁取消后，利比亚阿拉伯航空重建其国际航线，向空中客车、ATR和庞巴迪宇航公司订购飞机。安曼是利比亚航空首个重开的国际航线，2001年与Jamahiriya航空合并后[8]，其服务更迅速扩张。利比亚阿拉伯航空于2006年易名为利比亚航空，并采取积极扩张政策[9]，大力吸取欧洲商务和观光旅客，新增安卡拉[10]和雅典[11]等航线。

2007年7月31日，利比亚航空成为国有的利比亚泛非航空控股公司的子公司，与泛非航空属同一集团。利比亚泛非航空控股公司是由利比亚国家社会基金(30%)、利比亚国立投资公司(30%)、利比亚非洲投资基金(25%)和利比亚外地投资公司(15%)的旧政府组织所组成[12] 。2010年9月10日，利比亚航空与泛非航空宣布将会于11月位并，但此计划由内战而无限期搁置[13] [14]。

2011年，由于利比亚内战、北约禁飞区及联合国安理会1973号决议的影响，所有航班在3月17日暂停服务[15]。
