包厘街

包厘街（英语：Bowery，发音： /ˈbaʊ.əri/，当地 /ˈbaʊ.ri/）是美国纽约州纽约市曼哈顿南部的一条南北向街道和小型街区。街区东至艾伦街与下东区，西至包厘街与小意大利，南至运河街与华埠，北至东四街与东村。[1][2]从南到北，与包厘街交汇的主要或知名街道还有德兰西街、东豪斯顿街以及布利克街。
包厘街得名于新尼德兰殖民地末任荷兰总干事彼得·斯泰弗斯特的农场，即bouwerij，街道由新尼德兰当时更为稳定的定居区通往农场[3]。Bowery则借译自这个现代荷兰语旧词。1760年时，这条街被叫作包厘巷（Bowery Lane），自1807年起以现名为人所知。[4]

Bowery [–] The Namesake: Peter Stuyvesant's farm or bouwerij, to which the road led from the more settled parts of New Amsterdam. The farm's main house stood between 15th and 16th streets, just east of First Avenue.
