爱烈治街[1]（官方路牌[2]，英语：Eldridge Street，另译埃尔德里奇街[3][4]）是美国纽约州纽约市曼哈顿下城一条南北走向的街道，位于曼哈顿华埠东端与下东区西端之间，南起东百老汇大街，北至豪斯顿街。

历史 编辑
爱烈治街形成于18世纪中叶，依照当时的命名规则，原名三街（Third Street）[5]，1817年改为现名，以纪念1812年战争河狸坝战役中被俘身亡的纽约籍陆军中尉约瑟夫·C·埃尔德里奇（Joseph C. Eldridge）。[6][7][8]

[Footnote]2 Joseph C. Eldridge was a native of New York. He entered the army as second lieutenant in the Thirteenth Regular Infantry in the spring of 1812. A year afterward he was promoted to first lieutenant, and appointed adjutant.
