拉克伦·麦觉理
拉克伦·麦觉理少将，CB（英语：Lachlan Macquarie；苏格兰盖尔语：Lachlann MacGuaire；1762年1月31日—1824年7月1日[1][2]）[3] ，英国军官和殖民地行政长官。

他是英国派驻澳大利亚的最后一任全权新南威尔士总督（之后新南威尔士即进入责任政府时代）[4]，任期自1810年至1821年，任职期间对新南威尔士的社会、经济与建筑发展皆扮演着领导角色。
麦格理改善囚犯运输船上的卫生条件，将船上死亡率从1ː31降到1ː122；放宽了殖民地的刑事法令，允许有法律知识的罪犯出庭为被告辩护；在雪梨兴建数百座公共建筑，并将霍克斯布里河两岸多产的土地分配给服刑期满的犯人以降低殖民地对进口食品的依赖。[5]
随着越来越多囚犯服刑期满成为自由民，新南威尔士州从早期一块以收容犯下放逐罪者的殖民地，发展至能吸引自由移民，当中的转变和诸多措施，对19世纪前叶的澳大利亚社会产生了深远的影响力。[6][7]在他位于苏格兰老家的墓碑上形容麦觉理是“澳大利亚之父”（The Father of Australia）。[8]
