泰德·西蒙斯

泰德·莱恩·西蒙斯（英语：Ted Lyle Simmons，1949年8月9日—），为美国职棒大联盟的捕手，[1]生涯曾效力过红雀、酿酒人与勇士等队。西蒙斯被认为是大联盟打击最出色的捕手之一，[2]但那时红人队的强尼·班奇各项数据都属当代捕手顶尖，因此西蒙斯的表现时常被大众忽略。[3]

西蒙斯在退休时是大联盟捕手的安打王和二垒安打王。[4][5]他在2019年12月入选名人堂，[6]红雀在2021年7月31日将他的23号球衣退休，还为他建立一座雕像。[7]

西蒙斯在1967年于高中毕业，并随即投入选秀。他在选秀会上于首轮第10顺位被红雀选走。1968年，年仅18岁的西蒙斯登上大联盟，不过这年红雀正在争夺联盟冠军，因此身为新秀的西蒙斯仅出赛2场比赛。[8]1970年，他和乔·托瑞轮流担任先发捕手。1971年，托瑞被球队任命为三垒手，并让西蒙斯成为主力捕手。这年他缴出3成04的打击率，并打回77分打点。最后他在MVP票选上拿下第16名，球队拿下国联东区第二名。

名人堂票选 编辑

西蒙斯在1994年首度获得名人堂票选资格，但他在第一年的得票率未达5%。2017年12月，西蒙斯透过资深选手委员会的引荐再次叩关名人堂，却只差一票和名人堂擦身而过。[29][30]2019年12月，西蒙斯第三次挑战票选。这次他终于成功入选，而入选典礼因为COVID-19疫情肆虐而延后到2021年举办。[6]
