澳大利亚驻香港总领事馆（英语：Australian Consulate General Hong Kong；ACGHK）位于香港湾仔港湾道25号海港中心23-24楼，是澳大利亚在香港及澳门的外交代表机构，是澳大利亚驻中华人民共和国境内的五座使领馆之一（其余为北京、上海、成都及广州）。 香港回归前与澳大利亚同为英联邦成员之一，因此当时澳大利亚驻港总领事馆于1986年以前称为澳大利亚专员公署，直至1986年1月1日改为现称。[1] 在1946至1972年期间，澳大利亚政府驻港代表称为澳大利亚贸易专员公署。

因应香港及澳门在中华人民共和国内拥有特别行政区的地位，澳大利亚驻港总领事馆与其他澳大利亚驻外国使领馆一样，直属澳大利亚外交贸易部。

历史 编辑

澳大利亚贸易专员公署早于1930年代由澳大利亚政府委派官员 Joseph Lyons 创立。1933年8月30日，澳大利亚商务部长 Frederick Stewart 得到内阁批准在亚洲设立贸易专员，香港及荷属东印度被认为是最合适的地点。[2] 纵使如此，当时的澳大利亚司法部长及外交部长因需要再次考虑澳大利亚在远东地区进行贸易往来的迫切性，而暂缓委任专员一职。[3] 但当澳大利亚外交部长访问香港时，从澳大利亚商家口中得知在船务物流上缺乏协调。[4] 最后，澳大利亚贸易专员公署于1946年成立，在未有正式外交驻港机构的情况下，代表着澳大利亚在香港的利益，但外交部的办公室仍设在专员公署内。[5][6]

1972年，澳大利亚贸易专员公署获升格为澳大利亚专员公署，使公署能够提供不同的外交及领事服务。[7]这项改变令澳大利亚专员公署由澳大利亚工业及贸易部转为隶属澳大利亚外交部。[8]

1986年1月1日，澳大利亚专员公署改称为澳大利亚驻港总领事馆，与澳大利亚其他驻外使领馆看齐，而 Penny Wensley 获委任为首位驻港总领事。[9] [1] 相反，其他英联邦国家，例如新加坡，则继续以澳大利亚专员公署的牌头工作。有关安排一直维持到香港主权移交为止。[10]

1996年8月香港回归前，澳大利亚外交部长唐纳与中国外交部长钱其琛签署协议，确认澳大利亚驻港总领事馆的地位在1997年7月1日以后继续维持。[11][12]

2015年5月1日，位于香岛道39号的总领事官邸遇劫。[13]2020年10月3日，该馆再度遇窃。[14]
