历史沿革 编辑

2013年1月30日，新加坡科技工程有限公司获得一份设计和建造8艘近海任务舰的合约，以取代现役的无畏级巡逻舰（英语：Fearless-class patrol vessel），而该集团的电子部门ST Electronics将提供核心作战系统和作战系统集成解决方案。首舰计划于2016年交付，所有8艘于2020年服役[6][7]。首舰于2014年9月11日安放龙骨，新加坡国防部于2015年2月12日举行命名竞赛，获胜名称由国防部长黄永宏于2015年5月15日公布[8]。
