阿鲁·阿琼1982年4月8日生于泰米尔纳德邦马德拉斯（现金奈）的泰卢固家庭[a]，父亲是电影制片人阿鲁·亚拉文（英语：Allu Aravind），母亲是尼尔玛拉（Nirmala）[10][11]。祖父是出演过上千部电影的著名喜剧演员阿鲁·拉马林盖亚（英语：Allu Ramalingaiah）[12][13]。他们的家乡是安得拉邦西哥达瓦里县的帕拉乔莱[14]。阿鲁·阿琼在金奈长大，20多岁时全家搬到了海得拉巴[15][16]。

他是家中三个孩子中的老二；哥哥文卡特许（Venkatesh）是商人，弟弟西里许（英语：Allu Sirish）也是演员。姑姑是演员赤拉尼维之妻苏雷卡·科尼德拉（Surekha Konidela）。[17]阿鲁·阿琼是演员拉姆·恰兰的堂兄[18]。

2011年3月6日，阿鲁·阿琼在海得拉巴与斯内哈·雷迪（Sneha Reddy）结婚[19][20]。他们有两个孩子：儿子阿扬（Ayaan）和女儿阿哈（Arha）[19][21]。阿鲁·阿哈在电影《沙库塔拉（英语：Shaakuntalam）》（2023年）中首次亮相大银幕[22]。2016年，阿鲁·阿琼与M Kitchens和布法罗狂野鸡翅合作创办了一家名为800 Jubilee的夜总会[23]。
