《Under the Ladder》是首流行歌曲，由梅洛文、迈克·里亚尔斯（Mike Ryals）以及安东·卡斯基（Anton Karskyi）共同撰写[1]。歌词阐述了“即使历经多次的失败，也不要放弃退缩”[2]。
欧洲歌唱大赛 编辑
2018年1月16日，梅洛文被确认为乌克兰全国比赛《Vidbir 2018》的18位选手之一，演出曲目为《Under the Ladder》[3][4]。梅洛文成功晋级2月17日的半决赛[5]。在2月24日的决赛，梅洛文以观众票选第一、评审评选第二名的成绩获得比赛冠军，代表乌克兰参加2018年欧洲歌唱大赛[6][7]。
经过“半决赛分配抽签”，《Under the Ladder》被安排在2018年5月10日的第二场半决赛（Semi-final 2）[8]。最后梅洛文以179分的成绩获得第二场半决赛第六名，成功进入决赛[9]。在决赛，《Under the Ladder》以评审得分11分，观众得分119分，合计得分130分获得2018年欧洲歌唱大赛第17名[10]。
