掠掩
掠掩(也称为月掠掩星,月掠掩,或简称为掠)是一种月掩星现象,其中被掩蔽的恒星间歇性地消失与重现在月球的边缘[1]。 一个由许多观察者组成的团队可以结合掠掩并建塑月球地形在边缘的精确轮廓。
由于掠地路径很少经过已建立的观测场,业馀天文学家使用便携式观测设备并前往沿著阴影路径界线的地点。目标是尽可能准确地报告每个事件的UTC时间,以及接收GPS时间讯号的设备经常被用作时基。
使用两种方法进行观察:
- 目视:观察者有一个可听见的UTC报时装置(例如,调谐到WWV(无线电台)和录音设备(例如录音机)并通过望远镜观察目标,当恒星消失时,呼叫"消失",当恒星再次出现时,则呼叫"返回"。稍后分析音讯记录以提取事件时间。
