2023年10月阿富汗西部地震

2023年10月7日，阿富汗赫拉特發生了兩次地震，震級均為6.3級。第一次地震發生在阿富汗時間11:11 ，8分鐘後發生里氏5.5級的地震。 11:42再來一次6.3級地震[2][3][4]。隨後發生5.9級餘震[5]。10月11日，同一地區又發生第三次6.3級地震。[6]10月15日又發生6.4級地震。這些地震造成1,000至1,384人死亡，1,853人受傷。聯合國還報告有485人失蹤。伊朗也有一人受傷和輕微損壞。這些地震是阿富汗自1998年以來死亡人數最多的一次地震。[7]

根據聯合國的記錄，此次地震有1,294人死亡[8]。塔利班官員稱約有1,000 人死亡。[9]津達詹縣的11個村莊的所有房屋都被完全摧毀。聯合國還估計有11585人受到地震影響，[10] 電話通訊也中斷了。[11] 除赫拉特省遭到破壞外，鄰近的巴德吉斯省和法拉省也有房屋倒塌和人員受傷的報道。[12][13]

超過1,320所房屋遭到破壞或摧毀。 泥土建造的房屋是受災最嚴重的定居點；一個災區的居民說，許多房屋在第一次地震中倒塌了。[14]一位代表國家災害管理局的官員說，在幾個人口達1,000 人的村莊裡，估計300所房屋中只有100所完好無損。[15]
