多莉·麥迪遜
多莉·佩恩·托德·麥迪遜（Dolley Payne Todd Madison，1768年5月20日—1849年7月12日）是詹姆斯·麥迪遜的妻子，其丈夫在1809年至1817年擔任美國總統一職。他以社交送禮聞名，增強了丈夫身為總統的知名度。就這樣，她多次給扮演着總統配偶的角色下定義（後稱號為第一夫人）。她先前曾經為喪妻的托馬斯·傑斐遜扮演這個角色。[1]

多莉·麥迪遜也幫忙裝設新建成的白宮。1814年，英國人放火燒白宮，但喬治·華盛頓的古典肖像卻挽回了，這歸功於多莉·麥迪遜。丈夫逝世後，守寡的她她經常生活貧乏，出售先夫遺物才得以減輕負擔。
