格莱葛利·马奎尔

格莱葛利·马奎尔（英语：Gregory Maguire，1954年6月9日—）是一位美国小说家。他因创作创作了数十本儿童小说和成人小说而闻名。

1978年，马奎尔以《闪电时光》（The Lightning Time）出道，其中其中在1995年出版的《女巫前传》是他为成人读者创作的第一部小说，灵感来自儿童文学经典《绿野仙踪》，该书后于2003年改编为同名百老汇音乐剧。

在美国纽约州首府奥尔巴尼出生，毕业于奥尔巴尼纽约州立大学，后在塔夫斯大学（Tufts University）获得博士学位，专攻英美文学。1979年至1985年期间，为西蒙斯学院儿童文学研究中心（Simmons College Center for the Study of Children's Literature）的教授及主管之一。1987年，与他人共同创立了新英伦儿童文学基金会（Children's Literature New England），现时亦是国家儿童图书及读写素养联盟（National Children's Book and Literacy Alliance）的董事之一。

马奎尔的同性伴侣是画家安迪·纽曼（Andy Newman），是马萨诸塞州首批进行同性婚姻登记的夫妇之一，亦收养了三名儿童。[1]
