海绵骨针
骨针(英语:spicules)是多数海绵(多孔动物门)经生物矿化产生的构造,提供结构支持与防御的功能[1]。四大类群的海绵中有三者(寻常海绵纲、六放海绵纲与同骨海绵纲)的骨针成分为非晶质的硅[2],钙质海绵纲的骨针成分则为碳酸钙[3]。骨针的大小与形状因海绵种类不同而异,常作为分类依据[4]。
形成
编辑骨针是由海绵中质层的造骨细胞合成[5][6],受基因调控[7]。此类细胞中可生成蛋白质组成的轴丝[8],为骨针的轴心结构,随后于其上生成硅或碳酸钙等矿物,轴丝的大小与形状将决定骨针的形状[9]。
