功能
编辑HTN3基因表達的初級產物爲組氨素3。組氨素是一類存在於唾液中的富含組氨酸的蛋白質,控制其合成的基因位點除了HTN3之外,還有H1N1。組氨素3在合成完畢後,還可以通過蛋白水解轉化成其它的組氨素(比如組氨素4-6)。能控制組氨素3合成的等位基因爲HIS2[3]。
