霍斯蒂利安
羅馬皇帝
盖乌斯·瓦伦斯·霍斯蒂利安努斯·麦西乌斯·昆图斯（拉丁语：Gaius Valens Hostilianus Messius Quintus，？年—251年11月），英语化作霍斯蒂利安（英语：Hostilian），于251年7月至11月间短暂在任罗马皇帝。霍斯蒂利安的生年不详，251年5月在其兄赫伦尼乌斯获其父德西乌斯升为奥古斯都的同时受封为凯撒。当德西乌斯与赫伦尼乌斯于是年的阿伯里图斯战役中阵亡，加卢斯被拥护为新任皇帝后，霍斯蒂利安随即获升为奥古斯都，成为共治皇帝，之后二人共治了一段时间，直到霍斯蒂利安于251年11月去世为止。他可能死于瘟疫，或是为加卢斯所杀。

霍斯蒂利安的生年不详，父亲为将领德西乌斯，母亲则为赫伦尼亚·埃特鲁西拉。249年9月，德西乌斯在率兵平乱时获其军队拥立为皇帝，之后他在维洛那战役中击杀了时任皇帝阿拉伯人菲利普，获得元老院承认为其继任者[1][2][3]。251年5月，霍斯蒂利安在其兄赫伦尼乌斯获德西乌斯升为奥古斯都的同时受封为凯撒[1][4][5]。
251年夏，德西乌斯与赫伦尼乌斯在征讨哥特人的阿伯里图斯战役中阵亡，后将领加卢斯被军队拥护为新任皇帝。为了安抚大众，他随即将霍斯蒂利安升为奥古斯都，成为共治皇帝[6][1][7]。二人共治了一段时间，直到霍斯蒂利安于251年11月去世为止。他的死因众说纷纭[1][7]，4世纪历史学家维克托和史书《凯撒编年史》中皆称他死于瘟疫，不过6世纪历史学家佐西姆斯则认为他是被加卢斯所杀[8][1]。
货币学 编辑
为霍斯蒂利安铸造的奥里斯硬币共有四种，正面皆铸其头像，背面则有玛尔斯向右行走、祭祀用具、墨丘利立像及罗马手持维多利亚等样式[9]。
