《夜魔侠》（英语：Marvel's Daredevil）是一部即将播出的美国网络电视连续剧，由Netflix制作，德鲁·戈达德（英语：Drew Goddard）研发，基于漫威漫画同名角色夜魔侠创作。此剧设定在漫威电影宇宙中，并与系列电影共享世界观。

谈及为何饰演夜魔侠，考克斯说道，“有许多方面，有盲目、也有热情。饰演一个角色是有关于人类的情感、冲突和动乱。白天，你遇见一位信奉法律与正义的人，而（那人）夜间行动时便将法律掌控在自己手中。他使用那个观念来处理战斗。”[8]在阐述饰演此角色的困难之处时，考克斯说，“我穿上了一件衬衫，但看不见纽扣在哪，因为夜魔侠也不会知道纽扣在哪，但我也不能摸索。”[9]后来考克斯解释道，不像其他的漫画书角色，他的夜魔侠版本不会是一个“没有恐惧的人”，他说没有恐惧的人——字面意思上来说就是没有经历过恐惧——这并不有趣。我喜欢思考它的方式是，他是一个拥有恐惧的人，但他每天都决定去面对恐惧，并克服它。因此，‘没有恐惧的人’这个题目差不多是他的世界中的公众由于他所做的而给出的。但在他自己的心中，有时却十分害怕。并且他发现了面对那些恐惧的方式并成功度过了那些恐惧。”[10]

2012年10月10日，漫威影业从二十世纪福克斯手中收回了夜魔侠的电影拍摄权，影业主席凯文·菲戈于2013年4月26日确认了此事，此事标志着夜魔侠一角将允许出现于漫威电影宇宙中。[45]2013年10月，Deadline网站报道称，漫威已在着手准备四部电视剧以及一部迷你剧，总共60集，从而引进视频点播服务与有限节目提供商，而Netflix、亚马逊与WGN America（英语：WGN America）均有兴趣担任后者。[46]数周后，漫威与迪士尼共同宣布，它们将为Netflix提供围绕着夜魔侠、杰西卡·琼斯、铁拳侠（英语：Iron Fist (comics)）以及卢克·凯奇（英语：Luke Cage）的真人电视剧改编权，进而引出一部基于捍卫者联盟（英语：Defenders (comics)）改编的迷你电视剧。[47]
