吊路燈
「吊路燈」或「掛路燈」是一句政治口號,源自於法語中的「À la lanterne!」(中文:「吊死在燈柱上!」,其中「Lanterne」在法語中表示「燈」或「燈柱」)。這句話首次使用於法國大革命初期,也就是1789年巴黎的夏天[2],在當時主要用於煽動暴民以私刑處死某人。這時的燈柱常被巴黎市民用作私刑的吊杆,來處死一些官員或貴族。
這一法國俗語的英式英語近義詞是"String Them Up!",美式英語則是"Hang 'Em High!"。中文在歷史意義上最接近的一個詞可能是「打倒...」。在當代中文互聯網上,常用「吊路燈」形容這一行為,相近的詞語包括具有左翼民粹主義和地獄笑話意味的形容被處決者(或被認為應該被處決者)的用語「路燈掛飾」[3]。
