東方集團

東方集團為冷戰期間西方陣營對中歐及東歐的前社會主義國家的稱呼,其範圍大致為蘇聯及華沙條約組織的成員國。[1][2][3]與這一稱呼類似的「蘇聯集團」、「蘇東集團」和「共產集團」同樣代指與蘇聯同盟的國家,但這兩者通常也包括中東歐之外的國家。1948年及其後,東方集團包括蘇維埃社會主義共和國聯盟、波蘭人民共和國、德意志民主共和國、捷克斯洛伐克社會主義共和國、匈牙利人民共和國、羅馬尼亞社會主義共和國、保加利亞人民共和國、南斯拉夫社會主義聯邦共和國和阿爾巴尼亞社會主義人民共和國等社會主義國家。1948年蘇南衝突後,南斯拉夫被逐出東方集團,雖然1955年南斯拉夫與蘇聯關係正常化,但南斯拉夫並沒有重新加入東方集團。1960年蘇阿決裂後,阿爾巴尼亞也離開了東方集團。廣義的「東方集團」還包括蒙古人民共和國、朝鮮民主主義人民共和國、越南民主共和國(越南社會主義共和國)、古巴共和國和中華人民共和國[註 1]等位於歐洲以外地區的社會主義國家[1]。
