菠蘿汁是由成熟的菠蘿製成的。[1][2]在榨汁前要清洗菠蘿,使用刷子和噴霧清潔機去除污漬、瑕疵和農藥殘留。[3]清洗乾淨後,將菠蘿放入菠蘿去皮榨汁機中,獲得果肉,再放入螺旋榨汁機中。[3]然後,使用果汁精細過濾器去除菠蘿汁中的所有固體、纖維和膠體顆粒。[1][3]

編輯2016年,歐盟消費了50%的菠蘿汁。[5]荷蘭是2016年歐洲最大的菠蘿汁進口商。[5]泰國和哥斯達黎加則是2016年歐盟市場的主要供應國。[5]2017年,菠蘿汁消費量最多的國家是泰國、印度尼西亞和菲律賓,合計消費量佔世界總量的47%。 [6]與它們的人口相比,中國和印度的菠蘿汁消費量較低。[6]
